About 40 miles from Puerto Varas is Chile´s oldest national park, Vicente Pérez Rosales, founded in 1926. Its 617,500 acres take in the park´s centerpiece, Lago
Todos los santos, and the Saltos de Petrohue, and three Volcanoes: Osorno, Tronado, and Puntiagudo.
On the todos los Santos lake is also Petrohue, a beatiful and small beach surrounded by forest, that has a small pier from where full day excursions to Peulla depart, a small ecological town on the opposite side. |
